Another in the series of buildings designed by Haysom Ward Miller to provide preschool and out-of-hours facilities in the grounds of existing Suffolk primary schools. Built in the corner of the playground on the site of a disused toilet block, this building was designed and built in just over a year to fit in with the school timetable and to a typically tight budget. As elsewhere, large sheltered doors give easy access to outdoor play, and the pitched roof form gives airy internal spaces with some lower areas to suit quieter activities. Extremely good thermal performance and low maintenance materials minimise running costs.
